The Armstrong Siddeley 30 hp is the first car manufactured by the British manufacturer Armstrong Siddeley . The upper class model was built from 1919 to 1932.
Armstrong Siddeley only delivered the chassis. The customers then had limousine, touring car or landaulet bodies assembled on them. All four wheels were attached to rigid axles. The front axle was suspended on semi-elliptical longitudinal leaf springs, the rear axle had cantilever suspension .
The engine was an overhead six - cylinder in - line engine with 4960 cm³ displacement (bore × stroke = 88.9 mm × 133.4 mm). The performance is unknown. The rear wheels were driven via a manual four-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft. The maximum speed of the car is given as 104 km / h.
By 1931, 2,770 examples of the 30 hp had been built. The successor was the Special .
