geography
course
The Arnerbach created by the eingedolten confluence of his right source Bach Moosmatt Bach and his left source Bach Hüttenbächli to 564 m above sea level. M. under the Kelleramtstrasse in the village center of Arni. After about 220 meters, the combined brook comes to light for the first time and flows through a small ravine in a south-westerly direction , accompanied by a wide forest edge. This borders on the right bank of fields and on the left bank of a narrow strip of settlement of the municipality Arni, which connects to the west of the village center. At the end of this built-up area, the left bank is now also delimited by fields, which are only briefly interrupted by the Alte Lunkhoferstrasse . There is only a narrow edge of the forest before the stream turns briefly to the west and enters a forest.
The brook now crosses the municipal boundary to Oberlunkhofen, where it immediately takes up the brook from the Pfaffematthau . From here it forms a ravine that is cut ever deeper. It turns briefly to the south-west to the confluence of the stream from the Rischele from the left and now takes a mostly north-westerly course. Only a short time later it forms the municipal boundary between Oberlunkhofen and Unterlunkhofen. The ravine reaches its greatest extent at about Erlihof on the right bank and Lunkhofen Castle on the left bank.
Here the Arnerbach crosses into the municipal area of Unterlunkhofen and immediately afterwards makes an arc to the north, about 100 meters further down the stream again to make an arc to the northwest. After a short run he reaches the village of Unterlunkhofen, which he flows through openly and in a small arc in a south-westerly direction. Here it also absorbs the water of its most important tributary, that of the Erlihofbach , which flows in overturned from the right. It is now lined with fields again and passes the Zehntefreiacher and Aufeld farms . From here it follows the Rottenschwilerstrasse on its right bank to the mouth . A little later, the Arnerbach flows, straightened, a little north of the ARA at 380 m above sea level. M. from the right into the Reuss, which is then dammed to Flachsee .
