Arnie Robinson

Arnie Robinson ( Clarence Earl Robinson Jr .; born April 7, 1948 in San Diego , California ) is a retired American athlete in the long jump . With a height of 1.88 m, his competition weight was 74 kg.

Arnie Robinson took third place at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich with 8.03 meters behind his compatriot Randy Williams and Hans Baumgartner (Federal Republic).

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he won 8.35 meters ahead of Randy Williams.

Arnie Robinson won the Amateur Athletic Union long jump title six times , something only DeHart Hubbard and Ralph Boston had achieved before him .
