Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß (born June 29, 1974 in Berlin ) is a German musician . He is the singer and guitarist of the Berlin rock band Beatsteaks . He also forms the Fra Diavolo DJ team with his bandmate Torsten Scholz .

Life

Teutoburg-Weiß comes from a family of artists and attended an East German artist school in his childhood . He broke this off and did an apprenticeship as a retailer in a sporting goods store. He started playing guitar in the early 1990s, giving up his hobby , football .

In 1995 he got to know the Beatsteaks when his friend took him to their rehearsal room at Alte Schönhauser Straße 48/49 in Berlin. He was enthusiastic and became a guitarist and front man for the Beatsteaks .

In 2017 Teutoburg-Weiß worked again with the rapper Marteria under the name Teutilla . The title Aliens reached the German single charts in March 2017. Already on his fourth album Fortunately in the future he was featured with a guest contribution to the song Alles Verboten . On the album "da nich für!" von Dendemann from 2019 contributed Teutoburg-Weiß (also under the name Teutilla ) to the title " Time Change".

Equipment

Teutoburg-Weiß is left-handed and therefore plays appropriate guitars, including a Gibson SG and a Gretsch White Falcon .
