Arnold Bolle (born March 18, 1882 in La Chaux-de-Fonds ; † September 2, 1973 ibid, entitled to reside in Les Verrières and La Côte-aux-Fées ) was a Swiss politician ( PPN ) and lawyer .

Family and work

The of La-Chaux-de-Fonds in the Jura native, reformed baptized Arnold Bolle, son of the magistrate and notary Ernest Arnold Bolle, turned to the acquisition of the Swiss Matura studying law at the universities of Neuchâtel , Zurich and Leipzig , the in 1907 in Zurich with the doctorate to Dr. iur. completed. Arnold Bolle was married to Juliette, the daughter of the watchmaker Louis-Henri Brandt.

Political career

Arnold Bolle, who initially joined the Parti radical-démocratique suisse , served from 1912 to 1921 as a member of the General Council, the legislature , in his home town of La Chaux-de-Fonds. He then switched to the Parti progressiste national (PPN) movement founded in 1920 in response to the national strike of 1918 , which merged with the Liberal Party in 1981 . Arnold Bolle, one of its most influential protagonists, represented them in the Neuchâtel Grand Council from 1922 to 1933 and the only one in the National Council from 1922 to 1931 , where he joined the Democratic Group . Bolle's political commitment was particularly directed towards the creation of more professional organizations.

Arnold Bolle was also chairman of the Neuchâtel Chamber of Notaries from 1941 to 1945 and that of the Swiss Association of Notaries from 1950 to 1952 . Bolle, who played an important role in the unification of the Reformed Free Church of Neuchâtel with the Protestant regional church, also emerged as a chronicler of local history.
