Arrigo Miglio (born July 18, 1942 in San Giorgio Canavese ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Cagliari .


Arrigo Miglio was ordained a priest on September 23, 1967 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Iglesias on March 25, 1992 . The bishop of Ivrea , Luigi Bettazzi , ordained him episcopal on April 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Ottorino Pietro Alberti , Archbishop of Cagliari, and Giovanni Cogoni , Former Bishop of Iglesias. As a motto he chose Gaudium vestrum impleatur .

On February 20, 1999, the Pope appointed him Bishop of Ivrea. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Archbishop of Cagliari on February 25, 2012.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on November 16, 2019.
