Artūras Laukaitis (born March 5, 1997 in Moscow , Russia ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey player who has played for the Wisconsin stout Blue Devils, the team of the University of Wisconsin stout in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association , since 2018 .

Career

Clubs

Artūras Laukaitis began his career as an ice hockey player at Iserlohner EC , for which he played in the youth Bundesliga. In 2014 he moved to Lithuania, where he played for the Lithuanian record champions SC Energija in the Vysschaja Liga , the second highest Belarusian league. During the current season he moved to Canada to the Bracebridge Blues in the Greater Metro Hockey League. From 2015 to 2018 he played in the United States in various teams in the junior leagues North American Hockey League (including their lower class NA3HL) and Western State Hockey League. In 2016 he was elected to the all-rookie team of the NA3HL. Since 2018 he has been on the ice for the Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils, the team of the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association .

International

For Lithuania, Laukaitis already took part in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in Division II 2014 , when he contributed to the rise of the Lithuanians as the top scorer and player with the best plus / minus balance, and Division I 2015 and the U20 World Championships in Division II 2015 and 2017 , when he contributed to the rise of his team as the second best preparer after his compatriot Ilja Četvertak .

He made his debut in the Lithuanian men's national team at the 2016 World Cup in Division I. There he also played at the 2018 World Cup , when the Lithuanians made the jump from group B to group A in this division for the first time.
