Arthur is a city in Ida County in the western US state of Iowa . Arthur has 203 inhabitants (as of 2016) and an area of 0.39 km 2 . The place is affected by the Iowa Highway 175 and a railway line of the former Chicago and North Western Transportation and is near the border with Sac County .

Arthur had been part of the Odebolt-Arthur-Battle Creek-Ida Grove Community School District since the end of the 2017/2018 school year, as the Odebolt-Arthur Community School District was merged with the Battle Creek-Ida Grove Community School District on July 1, 2018. School-age children attend Elementary School and Middle School in Odebolt or High School in Ida Grove .
