Arthur B. Rubinstein

Arthur B. Rubinstein (born March 31, 1938 in Brooklyn , New York City - † April 23, 2018 ) was an American composer .

Life

Arthur B. Rubinstein was the grandson of the clarinetist Naftule Brandwein . He grew up in New York City and after graduating from the High School of Music & Art studied music at Yale University , where he received his bachelor's degree . He began as a composer on Broadway , where he wrote the music for theater and musical performances.

Since 1980 he lived in Los Angeles , where he was able to establish himself as a film composer. His trademark was symphonic synthesizer music. In particular, he provided the music for most of director John Badham's films , including The Flying Eye , WarGames - War Games , The Hard Way , The Night Has Many Eyes and its successor Die Abservierer and Against Time . He won an Emmy in 1986 for his composition on the television series Agentin mit Herz .

Rubinstein formed the band The Beepers with Anthony Marinelli , Brian Banks and Cynthia Morrow . Together they produced songs for the film Wargames, among other things .
