Arthur Sorin (born November 1, 1985 in Laval ) is a French football player . The son of the former professional Michel Sorin played for several years in Northern Europe and was Swedish champion and cup winner once.

Career

Career start in France

In his youth, Sorin was only active for Stade Rennes . In 2003 he won the Coupe Gambardella , the French cup competition for youth teams, with the youth team. In the final he came from the 84th minute on a short stint when he came on for Sylvain Macé . Two years later, he and the young players Simon Pouplin and Stéphane Mbia received a professional contract with the club. Two months later, the club announced a loan deal with the amateur club Vannes Olympique Club . After a year he returned to Stade Rennes, but could not prevail there and only ran for the reserve team.

Success in Sweden

In the winter break of the 2006/07 season, Sorin left his home country and joined the Swedish club Kalmar FF . In the Allsvenskan he established himself as a regular in the left defense. With the club he reached the cup final in his first year in Sweden in addition to the runner-up. With his help - he played the game for the entire length of the game - IFK Göteborg was defeated 3-0 with two goals from César Santin and one from Patrik Ingelsten .

In the 2008 season he was used in 21 games and thus helped the club to win the Lennart Johansson Cup for the first time as Swedish champions. In addition, they moved into the cup final again, in which Sorin played through including extra time. However, IFK Göteborg managed to take revenge on last year's defeat on penalties .

Short stop in Denmark and return to France

After two years in the Allsvenskan, Sorin announced his departure from Kalmar FF. In January 2009 he moved to Denmark for multiple champions Aarhus GF . His contract with the Danish first division club runs for three and a half years. At his new club he made his debut in the first game after the winter break, but ultimately he was only used irregularly until the end of the season.

In July of that year, the French club CS Sedan announced the commitment of Sorin for a season on loan. The club going into Ligue 2 agreed a purchase option. But this was not noticed and so he continued to play in Denmark until 2015 . For the 2015/16 season he then moved back home and joined the amateur club AS Vitré .
