Stéphane Mbia Etoundi (born May 20, 1986 in Yaoundé ) is a Cameroonian football player . The defensive midfielder is under contract with Wuhan Zall in the Chinese Super League .
Career
society
Since 2004 Mbia was under contract with the Breton club Stade Rennes ; He made his professional debut in Ligue 1 on February 19, 2005 against OGC Nice . He scored his first goal in 2006 in a 1-0 home win over Olympique Lyon . He made a total of 105 league games for Stade Rennes, in which he scored five goals; He contributed two more goals in nine European Cup encounters. National team
In the quarter-final of the 2008 African Cup of Nations, Mbia scored two goals against Tunisia , including the winning goal in the third minute of extra time. At the Olympic Games in 2008 Mbia was in the Cameroon squad. He was also in the squad for the 2010 and 2014 World Championships. He was used in all three group games when Cameroon was eliminated both times without winning a point.
