William-Jacques Vainqueur (born November 19, 1988 in Neuilly-sur-Marne ) is a French football player .

Career

Vainqueur began his career at FC Nantes , for whom he made his Ligue 1 debut in February 2007 . In 2011 he moved to Belgium for the European league team Standard Liège . In 2014 he moved to Russia to FK Dynamo Moscow . In 2015 he moved to Italy for AS Roma , for which he made his Champions League debut in September 2015 .

On August 31, 2016, Vainqueur returned to his home country and signed a loan deal with Olympique de Marseille from Ligue 1 .

For the 2017/18 season he moved to the Turkish first division club Antalyaspor . In January 2019, he was loaned to AS Monaco for the rest of the season . Due to several injuries and a suspension after a red card for two games, Vainqueur only played three league games for Monaco.

He was loaned to Toulouse FC for the 2019/20 season.
