Arthur von Falkenhayn
Arthur Sebastian Georg Anton von Falkenhayn (born December 7, 1857 in Belchau Castle , Graudenz district , † September 10, 1929 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer , politician and political educator of Crown Prince Wilhelm of Prussia .
Life
Career
After attending grammar school in Graudenz, Arthur von Falkenhayn studied law and political science in Leipzig , Berlin and Greifswald . During his studies he was a member of the 1876 Leipzig fraternity Germania and 1880 the fraternity Germania Greifswald . After completing his studies, he became a trainee lawyer in 1880 , but left the judicial service in 1883 to work in the higher administrative service . After his assessor exam in 1886 he became a government assessor and was employed as a district administrator in the district of Bublitz in the administrative district of Köslin and in the districts of Tarnowitz and Zabrze in the province of Silesia . In 1887 he was appointed district administrator in Zabrze, and in 1891 district administrator in Tarnowitz. In 1898 he went to the Prussian Ministry of the Interior as an unskilled worker and lecturer, and in 1899 became a secret councilor , in 1902 a secret councilor and in 1904 a non-permanent member of the Reich Insurance Office . In 1912 he became President of the Board of Trustees of the Prussian Pension Insurance Fund . In 1913 he became a real secret councilor. He took part in World War I , most recently as a major in the reserve . He became Ministerialrat in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior and First President of the Board of Trustees of the Prussian Pension Insurance Agency. In 1924 he retired. He was still active as a permanent assessor in the regional arbitration court at the Prussian State Ministry.
He also worked as the political educator of Crown Prince Wilhelm .
family
He came from the noble family Falkenhayn and was the son of Fedor Tassilo von Falkenhayn (born February 6, 1814 in Nakel; † January 20, 1896 in Tarnowitz) and his wife Franziska, née Freiin von Rosenberg (born June 26, 1826 in Klötzen; † August 14, 1888 in Graudenz). His father was a landlord on Belchau and Schwirsen.
Arthur von Falkenhayn also had six siblings:
- Anton Georg von Falkenhayn (* September 8, 1849 - December 10, 1910), Rittmeister
- Olga Franziska Helene von Falkenhayn (March 4, 1851 - December 14, 1919), married Major General Moritz von Bock (1828–1897) in 1873 and became the mother of the future Field Marshal Fedor von Bock (1880–1945).

- Eugen Georg Nikolaus von Falkenhayn (1853–1934), general of the cavalry

His father-in-law was Christian Julius von Massenbach .
