Artisan is an American heavy metal / power metal - band , which in 2008 Jacksonville was founded.

history

After an EP in 2009 called Artizan , they released their first complete work Curse of the Artizan on Pure Steel Records in 2011 . The biennial followed then Ancestral Energy (2013) and The Furthest Reaches (2015).

For the fourth studio album Demon Rider , three years passed for the first time. According to the CD booklet , the recordings took place at Morrisound Recording , the bass was played by Joey Vera ( Armored Saint , Fates Warning ). With the limited edition of the album, the five regular recordings follow as a bonus the title-giving song with Harry Conklin ( Jag Panzer ) as an alternative singer and two recordings from the Keep It True Festival 2015. In addition, a second CD includes instrumental versions as a bonus. The artwork was designed by Eliran Kantor, who previously u. a. worked for Crowbar , Testament or Thy Art Is Murder and who was able to exhibit some of his works, for example, in 2017 as part of the British Bloodstock Open Air .

As references are u. a. Fates Warning , Jag Panzer , early Iron Maiden ( 1980s ) and Crimson Glory used. Elsewhere, Queensryche and Savatage were also cited as references.
