Lukas Traxel
Lukas Traxel (born May 20, 1993 ) is a Swiss jazz musician ( double bass ).
Live and act
Traxel, who comes from Altdorf UR , first played the recorder and later the trumpet before he came to the electric bass. He attended the Uri music school. In the school big band he played a. a. the music of Weather Report and Mel Lewis . That is how he came to jazz music. He studied music at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and obtained a Masters in Jazz Performance. Since 2010 he has been part of the Marie Krüttli Trio. He also played in the Lucerne Jazz Orchestra , the Maurus Twerenbold Non Harmonic Quartet and the Max Petersen Trio. He also worked on recordings by Jean-Paul Brodbeck and Christoph Grab . In 2016 he won the ZKB Jazz Prize with Marie Krüttli's trio .
