Artur Petrosian

Artur Petrosyan ( Armenian Արթուր Պետրոսյան, often also in English transcription Petrosyan ; born December 17, 1971 in Leninakan ) is a former Armenian football player and current coach.

Petrosyan was with 69 games until March 18, 2005 record national player of the Armenian national football team and was then replaced by Sarkis Howsepjan . With 11 goals he is the record scorer of the Armenian national soccer team. He played in midfield . His stations were FC Schirak Gyumri , Maccabi Petach Tikwa (in Israel), Lokomotive Nizhny Novgorod , Young Boys Bern 2001-2003 and FC Zurich . His greatest success was the championship title with Zurich in the last year of his career (2005/2006), but this season he was barely able to play due to a protracted knee injury. Since December 2012 he has been working as the coach of the U-21 team at FC Zurich, having previously been responsible for the U-18 team.
