The Astellas Pharma GmbH is a German, a research-based pharmaceutical company and a 100% subsidiary of the Japanese company Astellas , which with Takeda Pharmaceutical and Daiichi Sankyo - one of the three largest Japanese pharmaceutical companies - decreasing by approximately 8.5 billion euros.

History in Germany

In January 2002, Klinge Pharma became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujisawa and was renamed Fujisawa Deutschland GmbH. Astellas Pharma GmbH was founded in 2005 as a German subsidiary of Astellas Pharma Inc., Tokyo from the companies Yamanouchi Pharma GmbH and Fujisawa Deutschland GmbH.

Immunosuppression

It consists of a main prize endowed with 5,000 euros and two sponsorship prizes endowed with 2,500 euros each.

Astellas Research Prize Dermatology

The Dermatology Research Prize has been awarded every two years since 2007 and is awarded to scientists working in Germany for scientific research work in the field of inflammatory skin diseases. It consists of a main prize endowed with 5,000 euros and a sponsorship prize endowed with 2,500 euros.

Prostate Cancer Research Prize

Astellas annually supports the "Prostate Cancer Research Prize" advertised by the German Society for Urology (DGU) . The prize donated by Astellas Pharma is endowed with € 10,000 and will be awarded at the DGU's annual meeting.
