Atzum is a district of the city of Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony to the northeast of the city center .
history
Atzum was first mentioned in a document in 1051 as Etloveshem. The place was completely burned down during the Thirty Years War , but later rebuilt by its citizens.
On March 1, 1974, the incorporation contract with the city of Wolfenbüttel came into force.

Culture and sights
- Atzum was first mentioned in a document in 1051 as an original parish. The St. Stephen's Church was built in its current structural condition from 1639 to 1652 after the previous building was significantly damaged in the Thirty Years' War in 1627.
