Linden is a district of the city of Wolfenbüttel in the south .
history
Linden was first mentioned in a document in 1007 with the name Lindim / Lindun. About the name forms Lindem - Linder - Lindum - Lyndum - Lyndem - Lynden - Linde and Lindhem, the name developed in the 19th century to today's Linden.
On March 1, 1974, the incorporation contract with the city of Wolfenbüttel came into force.
