Audrey Meadows (* 8. February 1922 in New York City as Audrey Cotter ; † 3. February 1996 in Beverly Hills , California ) was an American actress .
Life
Meadows was married to Randolph Rouse from 1956 to 1958 and to Robert Six from 1961 until his death in 1986 . Her sister is the actress Jayne Meadows , her brother-in-law Steve Allen . Audrey Meadows died of lung cancer on February 3, 1996 at the age of 73 and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City , California .

She made her acting debut in the US series Bob and Ray in 1951 . Numerous appearances in television productions such as Murder is Her Hobby , Hotel or Harrys Nest followed . Meadows received an Emmy for her appearance on the Jackie Gleason Show . She was nominated three times for it.
