The reconnaissance wing 103 was an association of the Luftwaffe in World War II .

Lineup

The staff and the II. Group were formed on December 5, 1944 at the Jüterbog-Damm air base ( Lage ) from the staff and the II. Group of the close reconnaissance squadron 102. The II. Group consisted of the staff and the 4th to 6th. Recon team together.

The 1st group was formed on the same day in Perleberg ( Lage ) and had its origin in the 2nd group of the long-range reconnaissance squadron 101. The 1st group had the staff and the 1st to 3rd reconnaissance squadron.

history

The two groups of the squadron remained stationed on their home bases throughout their existence and were used to train reconnaissance crews. To do this, they used Arado Ar 96 , Bücker Bü 131 , Bü 181 , Junkers Ju 88 , Ju 188 , Messerschmitt Bf 109 , Bf 110 and the Me 410 training aircraft . There were no front missions.
