The reconnaissance squadron 101 was a federation of the German air force in World War II .

Lineup

The staff and the second group were formed on February 15, 1943 at the Perleberg air base ( Lage ) from the reconnaissance school 3 F, which in turn was founded on September 1, 1939 at the Jüterbog-Waldlager air base ( Lage ). The second group consisted of the staff and the 3rd and 4th seasons.

The first group was formed on the same day in Großenhain ( Lage ) and had its origins in the reconnaissance school 1 F. The first group had the staff and the first and second squadrons.

history

The two groups of the squadron remained stationed on their home bases throughout their existence and were used to train long-range reconnaissance crews. To do this, they used Arado Ar 96 , Bücker Bü 131 , Bü 181 , Junkers Ju 88 , Ju 188 , Messerschmitt Bf 109 , Bf 110 and the Me 410 training aircraft . There were no front missions.
