The Kampfgeschwader 25 was an association of the Luftwaffe in World War II . It was originally set up as Erprobungskommando 88 in April 1939 .

Lineup

The Kampfgeschwader 25 emerged from Erprobungskommando 88. This was set up in April 1939 at the Luftwaffe test center in Rechlin to test the newly introduced Junkers Ju 88 . In August 1939 the name was changed in Lärz ( location ) to I. Group of Kampfgeschwader 25, consisting of the 1st and 2nd squadrons. A squadron staff and other groups were not set up. The squadron was equipped with the Junkers Ju 88. The squadron identification was E6.

history

The test command remained stationed at the Lärz air base near Rechlin from April to August 1939 and carried out extensive tests with the newly introduced Junkers Ju 88. In August 1939 it was renamed the I. Group of Kampfgeschwader 25. From September 1, 1939, she moved to Jever ( Lage ). At that time it was under the control of the 3rd Air Division of Air Fleet 2 . On September 22, 1939 I./KG 25 was renamed I. Gruppe of Kampfgeschwaders 30 .
