history

In 1742 the place with most of Silesia came to Prussia. The place was mentioned in 1783 in the book Additions to the Description of Silesia as Punoschau and belonged to a Mr. von Koschützky and was in the Lublinitz district (Lublinetz) of the Principality of Opole . At that time he had two stately outbuildings, a fresh fire, 18 gardeners , ten cottagers and 275 residents. The school was established in 1813. In 1820 a canal was created. In 1865 Ponoschau consisted of a manor and a village. At that time the place had three free farmers, one half-farmer, 26 gardeners and two cottages. A large part of the population went to work in the nearby stately pits and smelting works. The residents were parish in Schierokau. The school had 120 students at that time. The manor belonged to the government assessor von Koscielski and had a blast furnace, three fresh fires, a distillery, an American mill and a clay iron pit. The Vorwerke Goikowe and Patocka belonged to the manor.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 144 eligible voters voted for Upper Silesia to remain with Germany and 41 for membership of Poland. At Gut Ponoschau 78 voted for Germany and 17 for Poland. Ponoschau remained with the German Empire after the division of Upper Silesia . In 1936 the place was renamed Hegersfelde in the course of a wave of renaming during the Nazi era . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Loben (meanwhile in the district of Guttentag ).

In 1945 the formerly German town came under Polish administration and was then attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed Panoszów in Poland . In 1950 the place came to the Katowice Voivodeship . In 1975 the place came to the newly founded Voivodeship Czestochowa . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Lubliniecki and to the new Silesian Voivodeship.
