August von Maltzan

Count August von Maltzan-Militsch (born August 16, 1823 in Frankfurt am Main , † January 6, 1878 in Dyhernfurth , Wohlau district , province of Silesia ), Baron von Wartenberg and Penzlin, was a civil registry lord (German Confederation) . Before and after the founding of the German Empire , he was a member of the Reichstag .

Life

After attending schools in Hamburg, Schnepfenthal and Putbus Maltzan studied 1843-1847 jurisprudence at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn . In 1843 he became active in the Corps Borussia Bonn . Maltzan was a member of the United Landtag in 1847 , of the Prussian First Chamber from 1853 to 1854 , and hereditary member of the Prussian manor house and chief treasurer of the Duchy of Silesia since 1854 . From 1867 to 1871 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation and from 1871 to 1878 a member of the German Reichstag for the German Reich Party for the constituency of the Wroclaw Region 2 (Militsch-Trebnitz).
