Auryn is a Spanish boy band that was founded in 2009. Her first single Breathe in the Light reached number 10 on the Spanish music charts in 2011 , two of her three studio albums and the single Puppeteer from 2014 reached number 1.

Members

Auryn consists of five singers, all from Spain :

Before they merged as a band, they had already participated separately in music casting shows and competitions. The most successful was Dani Fernández, who represented Spain in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 , the last one in which Spain took part.

history

In 2009 the five singers formed the band Auryn. They chose the name after AURYN , a magical object from Michael Ende's book The Neverending Story , which fulfilled all the wishes of its wearer.

First published Auryn cover versions of known songs on YouTube , including Umbrella by Rihanna . In 2011 they took part in the Destino Eurovisión , the Spanish elimination competition for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest . They reached the final of the last three participants, but lost there to the singer Lucía Pérez .

Auryn used the notoriety gained through the competition to release their first single, Breathe in the Light , which reached number 10 on the Spanish music charts , and later that year released their debut album Endless Road, 7058 on their own. In 2012 Auryn was signed by Warner Music Spain . The debut album was re-released under the title Endless Road, 7058 Upcoming, expanded by four songs and reached number 4 on the Spanish album charts. Auryn's following albums Anti-Heroes (2013), Circus Avenue (2014) and Ghost Town (2015) all reached number 1 on the charts.

In 2011 Auryn began a concert tour through Spain with songs from her first album. On November 24th of this year they appeared in Madrid as opening act for a concert by The Wanted during their European tour. Further concert tours by Auryn through Spain and Mexico followed from 2012.

From 2011 to 2014 Auryn organized an annual camp called "MyCampAuryn 2011", where the five band members spent a few days with their fans, gave them music lessons, signed records, etc.
