The Poznań-Wschód motorway junction ( Polish : Węzeł autostradowy Poznań-Wschód ) is located southwest of the Polish town of Nagradowice in the Greater Poland Voivodeship . It connects the Polish A2 motorway and the S5 expressway .
history
The construction of the junction took place in 2011 and 2012 together with the construction of the section of the S5 between the Gniezno -Południe and Poznań-Wschód junctions. It took place in a separate task. Strabag was selected as the construction company in a tender. Construction began in June 2011. The construction costs amounted to 53 million zlotys , two thirds of which were borne by the Autostrada Wielkopolska company and one third by GDDKiA . The node was opened on 4 June 2012 and since then is the eastern end of the southern bypass of Poznan over the A2. Because the 1.5 kilometer east over the A2 tollgate Nagradowice was a third lanes in each lane by the operator Autostrada Wielkopolska between the Nodes and the toll booth were added.

The junction was originally only called Nagradowice motorway junction and was so named because of the nearby town of Nagradowice . In 2012, the name was changed to Poznań-Wschód motorway junction , although the junction is not in the city limits of Poznan , but represents the eastern end of the Poznań southern bypass. The knot is made up of a trumpet and consists of a bridge structure.
