Jens Scholkmann

Jens Scholkmann (born February 10, 1939 in Berlin ; † June 28, 2015 ) was a German actor and director.

Life

He completed an acting training at the state Max Reinhardt Drama School in Berlin.

1958/1959 he was engaged at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , from 1959 to 1960 at the Landestheater Schleswig under Horst Gnekow , 1960-1965 at the Stadttheater Luzern (Switzerland) again under Gnekow. Jens Scholkmann played in more than 50 productions in Lucerne. From 1965–1968 he was engaged at the theater of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and played there under the direction of Kurt Hübner and Peter Zadek, among others . This was followed by an engagement at the Münster City Theater from 1968–1973 . There he also directed numerous productions.

From 1973 to 1997 he was the artistic director of the Werkbühne Bayer Leverkusen (cultural department) and produced there regularly. At this time, Serkan Kaya and Katharina Lorenz took their first steps in their later acting / musical careers under his guidance.

Scholkmann appeared on television on NDR, WDR, Hessischer Rundfunk and Saarländischer Rundfunk. 1974-1990 he was the presenter of the ZDF long-term advertising show Schaufenster on Thursday . He had guest appearances in the television series Großstadtrevier , Der Landarzt and Aktenzeichen XY as well as TV films such as “With Eighteen”.

For more than 25 years , he worked as a speaker for Radio Bremen in numerous radio plays , artistic features , entertainment programs, school radio and literature programs . This included award-winning productions such as B. the six-part radio play Der Wind in den Weiden by Kenneth Grahame (RB 1976, director: Charlotte Niemann ), which was released on LP and MC. He also had a leading role in 1979 alongside Benno Sterzenbach in the detective radio play Wie das Blühende Leben by Rolf Bohn . Günter Siebert directed the film . In 1980, again directed by Charlotte Niemann, he could be heard in four episodes of the nine-part children's radio play series Pooh the Bear (title role Horst Breiter ) based on Alan Alexander Milne . The series was released on CD by Hörverlag in 2013 .
