The motorway junction Oldenburg-Nord (abbreviation: AK Oldenburg-Nord ; short form: Kreuz Oldenburg-Nord ) is a motorway junction in Lower Saxony in the north-west metropolitan region . It connects the federal highway 29 ( Wilhelmshaven - Dreieck Ahlhorner Heide ) with the federal highway 293 ( western ring road Oldenburg ). The further course of the A 293 in the direction of Brake becomes the federal road 211 .
geography
The motorway junction is located in the municipality of Rastede , on the border with Oldenburg . The closest districts are Südende and Wahnbek on Rasteder area as well as Alexandersfeld, Etzhorn and Ofenerdiek , which belong to Oldenburg. It is located about 8 km north of the Oldenburg city center, about 45 km northwest of Bremen and about 35 km south of Wilhelmshaven .
The Oldenburg-Nord motorway junction has junction number 13 on the A 29 and number 7 on the A 293.
Design and state of development
Both motorways have four lanes. The connecting ramps are single-track.
The motorway junction was originally laid out as an incomplete clover leaf ; the connections from the A 293 south to the A 29 south and vice versa were missing. With the renovation of the motorway junction in 2006, these were built and opened to traffic in December of the same year.
