The Autostrada Prizren – Tetovo ( Albanian for Prizren – Tetovo motorway , Albanian also Autostrada Prizren – Tetovë ) is a 35 kilometer long motorway in Kosovo that is being planned. It should connect Prizren with the North Macedonian city ​​of Tetovo and significantly shorten the route to North Macedonia. The entire route, including the subsequent section in North Macedonia, should be around 45 kilometers long. The route between the two cities is currently over 100 kilometers long. The planned motorway has no official signage yet.

Routing

The motorway is to run from Prizren to the existing North Macedonian M-4 motorway . It leads through the Šar Planina Mountains , which are hardly accessible by traffic. The mountains are to be crossed under with a three kilometer long tunnel .

construction

The planned motorway is in the planning stage. Investors from the United Arab Emirates have been found who want to invest more than 400 million euros in the construction of the motorway. Infrastructure Minister Lutfi Zharku announced this in an interview. The project should start when the Autostrada R 6 is finished.
