Aversions Crown is an Australian deathcore band from Brisbane that was formed in 2010.
history
The band was formed in 2010. In 2011 the debut album Servitude was released , which was produced by Andy Marsh of Thy Art Is Murder and mixed by Mark Lewis ( Whitechapel , Carnifex ) at Audio Hammer . Thereupon the label Nuclear Blast became aware of the group and signed them. The second album Tyrant was released in 2014 . A music video was also created for the song Hollow Planet . So far, the group has performed in Europe and Australia with Thy Art Is Murder, The Acacia Strain , Oceano , All Shall Perish and Cattle Decapitation . She also took part in the Warped Tour .
style
In an interview with Patrick Schmidt from Blast! Nuclear Blast magazine stated that Chris Cougan was happy about the comparisons with Thy Art is Murder, but Aversions Crown sounds different. Tyrant is about a fictional alien invasion and the associated extermination of humanity. The extraterrestrials are of the opinion that humanity is not worth living on because there is a lack of respect for nature and other forms of life. A special feature of the band is that they play with three guitarists. Nadine Fiebig wrote about the album in the same issue that there were both high screams in the style of Mitch Lucker and deep growls . In addition, breakdowns and blastbeats are used and the playing of the instruments is technically demanding. Jan Wischkowski from metal.de assigned the album to deathcore. It is darker than that of genre colleagues like Carnifex, Cattle Decapitation and Job for a Cowboy . The songs are brutal and the lead guitar makes the songs darker. Occasionally the band also use quiet passages. Otherwise there are "huge breakdown vibrations, screaming [SIC!] Guitars, deep growls and beastly screams".
