Axel Mengewein
Axel Mengewein (born January 30, 1969 in Wattenscheid ) is a German author , journalist , moderator and blogger .
life and career
Mengewein grew up in Augsburg , where he completed his school education up to the technical diploma. He completed his business administration with a focus on organization and data processing at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg with a degree in business administration ( FH ).

He first worked for the Augsburg Journal and was a radio presenter at Radio KÖ 87.9 for seven years . His personality show “Axels Wundertüte” was awarded the BLM Radio Prize in 1995 for the best children's program (concept, editing, moderation). In August 1996 he switched to ZDF and became a founding member of the online editorial team ZDFonline. Until 2000 he was responsible for the online presence of WISO . He later headed the “Chats & Forums” editorial department in the main New Media department, moderated the TV program “ Online Night ” with Cherno Jobatey and was the final editor of ZDFtext and the author of articles, reports and contributions.
Mengewein received the black belt in 2014 , 1st Dan in Taekwondo . He lives in Mainz and Augsburg.
