BBC Sessions is a compilation CD by British rock group The Who released in 2000. The album reached number 24 in the British album charts, while itonly reached position 101 onthe US Billboard charts.
content
The BBC often required performers to play songs live on the radio in the 1960s . This makes some of the songs seem harder and rougher. The Who were forced to reproduce the studio sound here. For some songs, however, the soundtrack of the studio recording was used, on which Roger Daltrey only sang a new vocal track.

selection
The BBC sessions also feature rare songs from The Who such as B. Just You and Me, Darling , Good Lovin ' or Dancing in the Street . In addition to two jingles and six cover versions , this CD contains 17 original The Who songs and a new version by Substitute . Original radio announcements for the songs and some conversations with Pete Townshend can also be heard.
This collection is missing a couple of BBC songs by the band that have since surfaced as bootlegs . Besides So Sad About Us and Summertime Blues , it is worth mentioning the cover version of Man with Money by the Everly Brothers, recorded in 1966 .
