Join Together is a live album by British rock band The Who . The recordings were made in 1989 on the anniversary tour on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the band.

Emergence

The live playback of the album Tommy (1969) was recorded and released on CD 1 on two charity shows, on June 27, 1989 at Radio City Music Hall in New York and on August 24, 1989 at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles . Some of the songs on CD 2 were also recorded in New York and Los Angeles, the rest comes from other concerts on the tour: on July 25, 1989 at the Pontiac Silverdome , Pontiac (Michigan) ; on July 27, 1989 at Carter-Finley Stadium , Raleigh, North Carolina ; July 29, 1989 at Tampa Stadium , Tampa ( Florida ); August 19, 1989 at BC Place Stadium , Vancouver ( Canada ) and August 22, 1989 at Jack Murphy Stadium , San Diego ( California ).

Join Together was released in 1990 by Virgin Records in the UK and MCA Records in the United States . The album was first released in the USA as a 3- LP set and reached number 188 on the Billboard 200 in March 1990 , where it was represented for two weeks; In addition, the album was number 59 on the British music charts for a week . It was also released on compact cassette and double CD. The box contains a booklet with information and color photos of the tour. The album was dedicated to the late drummer Keith Moon .
