Bahar Soomekh
Bahar Soomekh (born March 30, 1975 in Tehran ) is an American actress of Iranian - Jewish origin.
Life
Bahar's family comes from Tehran, or Hamadan , the name Soomekh (sometimes also Somekh) is a common surname among Persian Jews . Saba, her older sister, majored in Religious Studies at Harvard Divinity University after moving to Los Angeles in 1979. The family fled the Iranian Revolution .
Bahar Soomekh attended Beverly Hills High School until 1993, where she played the violin in the school orchestra. She later studied environmental science at the University of California at Santa Barbara . In addition to her job in a company, she took acting classes in the evenings before making acting her main occupation. Bahar Soomekh had her first television appearance in 2002 in the television series Without a Trace . She then starred in LA Crash and with Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible III . In October 2006 Bahar was seen with Saw III in US cinemas. In 2008 she made a guest appearance on a fourth season episode of Ghost Whisperer . She played Tricia in the sixth episode, Imaginary Friends & Enemies .
Bahar Soomekh has been married to Clayton Frech since 2001, who accepted the Jewish faith especially for the marriage. They have had a son since 2005, and Bahar gave birth to their second child in 2009. In addition to her acting activities, she is committed to the International Green Cross and educates people about chemicals that are harmful to health. Together with her husband, she founded the production company TO Productions, which produces films on ecological and social issues.
