The station Almere Buiten is a station of the Dutch city of Almere and the second most frequented on the station in Almere. The train station is located in the Almere Buiten district of the same name. It is served by ten bus routes. National regional and long-distance trains run at the station. Until the 2012 winter timetable, it was the only train station in Almere alongside Almere Centrum where all through trains stop. As of December 9, 2012, intercity trains will only stop in Almere Centrum. Since 2017, Almere Buiten has been a stop for intercity trains again.

history

The station was opened on May 30, 1987 with the Weesp – Lelystad railway line. It was one of the first stops in Almere with the Almere Centrum and Almere Muziekwijk train stations.
