In 1902, operations began on today's MVR narrow-gauge line to Blonay ; In 1904 the narrow-gauge line to Châtel-Saint-Denis was opened to traffic. In the same year, the VCh line to Puidoux-Chexbres station on the Lausanne – Bern line was opened. The narrow-gauge line to Châtel-Saint-Denis was closed in 1969 and replaced by the VMCV bus route 213 . In 2013 the VCh was taken over by the SBB.
location
The station is around 300 meters north of the market square on the lakeshore. The shopping centers Center Saint-Antoine and Midi-Coindet as well as the new post office are in the immediate vicinity . A Coop Pronto branch is located in the old post office building right next to the train station .
investment
Similar to the Montreux train station, the transition to the main platform is not on the ground floor of the station building, but on the first floor. In addition to some freight tracks, the track system includes a side and two middle barriers.
Tracks 1 and 2 are reserved for SBB traffic on the Simplon Railway (there was a through track between these tracks, which was dismantled in the 1990s). The Train des Vignes runs as the S31 to Puidoux-Chexbres from platform 4, which is located on the middle platform with platform 2 . Track 3 was a short track on this central platform and was abandoned in 2016 for the purpose of widening the platform. There is another central platform with tracks 5 (standard gauge) and 7 (meter gauge, which forms a small curve in the western part, usually only serves the traffic of the MVR to Blonay and Les Pléiades ).
