By Mosonszolnok , electrification is currently ending with the traction current system 25 kV 50 Hz alternating current. The route continues near the places Jánossomorja , over the Einserkanal , Bősárkány and after about 37 kilometers reaches the Győr – Sopron – Ebenfurth railway , into which it joins to the west.

From Csorna in a south-westerly direction, the route runs along the places Sopronnémeti , Magyarkeresztúr , Beled , Répcelak , Vámoscsalád , Hegyfalu and joins the Hungarian Western Railway after another 54 kilometers to the west of Sárvár . In sections, the railway line runs parallel to the Répce (Rabnitz) river. After another 20 kilometers, the city of Szombathely is reached. From September 11, 2014 to November 25, 2015, the entire 87-kilometer single-track Hegyeshalom – Csorna – Porpác line was renovated and electrified with an AC voltage of 25 kV 50 Hz.
