Bajrabarahi ( Nepali बज्रबाराही ) is a city ( municipality ) in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal and belongs to the Kathmandu metropolitan area .

The city is located in the south of the Lalitpur district . Bajrabarahi was created in September 2015 through the merger of the Village Development Committees (VDCs) Chapagaun , Jharuwarasi , Lele and Thecho . The urban area covers 38.4 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Bajrabarahi had 39,203 residents.
