Karyabinayak ( Nepali कार्यविनायक ) is a city ( municipality ) in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal and belongs to the Kathmandu metropolitan area .
The city is located in the west of the Lalitpur district and borders in the north on the city of Kirtipur and the district capital Lalitpur . Karyabinayak was created at the end of 2014 through the merger of the Village Development Committees (VDCs) Bungamati , Chhampi , Dukuchhap , Khokana and Sainbu . The urban area covers 21.5 km².
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Karyabinayak had 38,036 inhabitants (19,001 of them male) in 8989 households.
