history

founding

The bank was founded on July 15, 1918 ( Ulm District Court HRA 680316). On September 1, 1953, the company was converted into a limited partnership . The last change in the legal form to a partnership limited by shares took place on August 15, 1994 (Ulm District Court HRB 680551). In September 1999 the Securenta Bank AG (a subsidiary of the Göttingen Group ) was merged with the company.

Management (special features)

Klaus Partin , the former liable partner, was imprisoned for four years. The Stuttgart district court sentenced the then 60-year-old for infidelity , fraud and falsification of accounts .

liquidation

On January 29, 2001 the bank was closed.

The Federal Banking Supervisory Office ( BAKred , today BAFin ) had imposed a moratorium on the bank after a "significant previously uncovered need for value adjustments" had been determined. In April 2001, the Federal Supervisory Office withdrew the Partin bank's license to conduct banking business and established the claim for compensation. The bank sued against this in court, but unsuccessfully. In a decision of July 31, 2001, the Higher Administrative Court of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia confirmed the lower court judgment of the Cologne Administrative Court of May 30, 2001, whereby the withdrawal of the banking license and the determination of the compensation case was carried out (file number 4 B 743/01). This decision is final.

On 17 August 2001, a circular from the fared Baden-Württembergische Bank AG (BW-Bank) a message to all Partin Bank customers that their deposits from the Deposit Insurance Fund of the Federal Association of German Banks are placed on the BW-Bank. On January 10, 2002, the customers' balances were paid out and the accounts closed.

The Partin bank building at Bahnhofsplatz 1 in Bad Mergentheim was bought by the city in 2005 for 3.875 million euros and converted to use as the new town hall . In 2008 the last premises were completed and the municipal employees could begin moving.
