Barış Uçele (born February 6, 1987 in Ankara ) is a Turkish ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with Gümüş Patenler SK since 2013 and has played with the club in the Turkish Super League since 2015 .

Career

Barış Uçele began his career as an ice hockey player with Anka Spor Kulübü , for whose first team he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in the 2004/05 season . In 2006, the goalkeeper moved to local rivals and Turkish record champions Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK , for whom he played for three years. In the 2009/10 season he ran for the club of the Police Academy , which is also based in Ankara. For the 2011/12 season, the goalkeeper was signed by Başkent Yıldızları SK and won the Turkish championship with the club in 2012 and 2013 . After the second title he moved to the second division Gümüş Patenler SK , with whom he rose to the super league in 2015.

International

For Turkey, Uçele took part in the junior division of the 2005 U18 World Cup and the 2007 U20 World Cup in Division III.

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division III in 2008 and 2009 and in the World Championships in Division II in 2010 .

In addition to his active career, he was the assistant coach of the Turkish women's national team at the Division II women's world championship in 2016 .
