Barbara Saß-Viehweger , née Weyand, (born August 4, 1943 in Worbis , Province of Saxony ) is a German notary , lawyer and politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) .

Life

She moved to Berlin in 1945 as a toddler . From 1953 she attended the Catholic high school Sankt Ursula, where she obtained the Abitur in 1962 . She then studied in Berlin, Cologne and Freiburg Law and worked for her second state exam in 1970 as a lawyer. After her marriage she added her husband's last name to her own and has been called Barbara Saß-Viehweger since then. Since 1980 she has also worked as a notary.

She has her life and work center in Berlin-Lankwitz and is a member of the Catholic parish Mater Dolorosa (Berlin-Lankwitz) , where she is active on the church board and on the board of trustees of the independent foundation Mater Dolorosa Berlin-Lankwitz .

As a member of the CDU she was 1971-1975 member of the Borough Assembly of Steglitz , and 1975 (as Barbara Sass) to 1995 member of the Berlin House of Representatives and thus six legislative sessions in a row Member of Parliament . She always obtained a direct mandate in Steglitz, constituency 6 .

After several party functions, she is currently employed as a member of the Federal Party Court of the Christian Democratic Union.
