action

Philippe Rickwaert, parliamentarian and mayor of the northern French city of Dunkirk , campaigns for his long-time friend Francis Laugier, presidential candidate of the PS . When a party scandal over dirty financial deals threatens, Laugier drops his foster son ice cold to save his own reputation. Rickwaert is destroyed, his political career is in pieces. But step by step he fights his way back up and is from now on obsessed with taking revenge on Laugier. Trapped in this cosmos of vengeance and irredeemably caught, Rickwaert forges the most perfidious plots, concludes seemingly absurd alliances and devises dangerous deception maneuvers. So he tries to get Laugier's close advisor Amélie Dorendeu to his side, does not shy away from contact with criminals - and is always the hunter and the hunted at the same time, because his inner demons will not let him go.
