The Basawluk ( Russian and Ukrainian Базавлук ) is a right tributary of the Dnieper with a length of 158 km. It drains a catchment area of 4,200 km² and has a gradient of 0.61 m / km.

The river rises in the east of Dneprhochlands southeast of the village Kosodub (Ukrainian Козодуб ) in Krynychky Raion , then flows through the western Ukrainian oblast Dnipropetrovsk and flows south of Intercession at the village Leninske in the kakhovka reservoir dammed Dnepr .
Tributaries
The largest tributaries of the Basavluk are the 88 km long Kamjanka (Ukrainian Кам'янка ), which flows into the Basawluk from the right at Ust-Kamenka ( Усть-Каменка ) and the 56 km long Solona (Ukrainian Солона ).
history
In the river near Kapuliwka was the Sitsch Basawluk of the Zaporozhian Cossacks from 1593 to 1638 .
