The 1995 Torneo de las Américas 1995 ( English The 1995 Tournament of the Americas ) is the eighth edition of the American basketball championship and took place from 15 to 27 August 1995 in the Argentine provincial capitals of San Miguel de Tucumán and Neuquén , with the intermediate and Final round matches were played exclusively at the latter location. Olympic defending champion United States was already automatically qualified as world champion for the Olympic Games and did not take part in the tournament.
