Bassella is a municipality in the Catalan comarca of Alt Urgell in the province of Lleida . It has 224 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) and is located at the confluence of the Segre and the Salada at the point where the road from Solsona to Cardona (the L-301) crosses the road from Lleida to La Seu d'Urgell . Due to the damming of the Rialb Reservoir, a large part of the community area of ​​70.25 km² was flooded.
