Amerang Farmhouse Museum

The Amerang Farmhouse Museum is an open-air museum and is located in the Upper Bavarian Alpine foothills near Amerang in Chiemgau .

The Amerang farmhouse museum is an institution in the Upper Bavaria district . It is affiliated with the Glentleiten open-air museum . The museum shows the rural life, living and economy of past centuries in the region between Chiemsee, Inn and Salzach.

16 historical buildings from the region have been rebuilt in the museum grounds. Special events show historical techniques such as rope making or wagon making and give an insight into rural life in the past. Exhibitions deepen folklore and local history topics. The museum is open from March to November (except Monday).
