Bavarian A II were locomotives of the Royal Bavarian State Railways .

description

The machines were designed as Stephenson long boiler machines. The fork frame was designed as an inner frame and the fire box was supported by the rear barrel axle. The only differences between the machines of the two manufacturers were in the position of the feed pump. While with Keßler this was on the outside and was operated by the drive pin, with Maffei it was on the inside and was attached to the back eccentric.

After it turned out that the locomotive was running very unsteadily, the rear axle was moved around 127 mm to the rear. In the 1860s, the old boilers were replaced by Crampton type boilers on some vehicles. Furthermore, they built six copies to C I and three to BI to. The remainder were taken out of service and scrapped between 1871 and 1877.

They were with a Tender equipped to type 2 T 4.2.
