description

Eight copies were delivered by Maffei in 1852 , the remaining ten machines came from Hartmann . Hartmann's machines were very similar to those of the A IV type, which were manufactured in the same period. In contrast to the examples from Hartmann, these locomotives also had a steam dome . These were only added later to the Hartmann copies. All machines had a Crampton type boiler with smooth tubes and a Kirchweg type condenser . They were with a Tender equipped to type 3 T 5th
